**** England. Useless POS always injure our players when they have momentum. Just watch as soon as Theo is back hitting form he'll get knackered in a useless ass friendly against ****ing Iceland

Ox is due to have a scan on his knee today. Pray it's not ligament damage as he was really sharp last night and looked like he'd played his way into that England team. I'd be gutted for him if he missed out on the WC at this late stage.

So many players have been getting injured in these friendlies lately. A lot of players will be missing this year's world cup due to injury, these playing schedules these players are on is just too much.

Can't believe people still keep going on about that average Alberto goal from 1970, we see better every week

I think it's one of the greatest WC goals ever scored, it's an iconic goal, and the cherry on top of what was a great world cup, dominated by a great Brazilian side. Just my opinion though <ok>

Maybe I'm just being too harsh judging it by modern defending

The Brazil team of 1970 is the best I've ever seen

Widely accepted to be true, but I remember watching the Brazilians of 1982 and thinking their level of skill was far superior to anyone else, only schoolboy defending against Italy (one of the greatest games I ever saw mind) prevented them from winning the pot that year...

It is often said that the Brazil team of 1982 were the best to never win the WC,I would argue that accolade should be given to the Dutch team of 1974

    Liverpool sign German midfielder

    Posted at 15:12 (BBC WEBSITE)

Liverpool announce they have completed the signing of Germany under-21 international Emre Can from Bayer Leverkusen.
"I am proud to be a part of the family and I am looking forward to playing here. I'll give my best," says the midfielder.
Can, 20, played 29 league games for Leverkusen last season.

    Is this guy any good?

I thought I'd bump this thread with some comedy gold from the Liverpool board:
