Very good read indeed. Of course, the comparisons to Saints ambitions can also be considered. The glass ceiling that Atletico are very firmly banging against may yet be broken if they can keep on pushing. It's possibly an easier league to be ambitious in, even if the other two real protagonists are of the highest quality. Atletico have been at it for some while and they have some way to go. I can only applaud their efforts because it suggests that if you're smart enough and resourceful enough, without being rich enough, you can still make a major impact. That's all we can ask of our own team.

Doesn't name the football club. Typical.

 

I know. Surely they wanted to name the club but weren't allowed to?

 

Disgusting that in the land of milk and honey *gag* that is the Premier League, where players are paid tens of thousands of pounds per week, a club has the sheer moral bankruptcy as to not pay their non-playing staff the minimum wage. Sums up what is wrong with modern football. Wonder what club it is. Wouldn't surprise me if it was Man City. Or possibly Cardiff if it is referring to a club that was in the Premier League last season.

And what makes Premier League clubs above the law? Other companies can be named, so why not them?

I realise you're not supporting or condoning it, so those questions are more rhetorical than directed specifically at you
