Well I watch them every week, and every week it's frustrating to watch him supply great knock-down balls only for some chump to **** it up. Nolan is his foil, a 31 yr old that would lose a race with a nailed down snail, that he manages to get goals is testament to Carroll TBH, who has to pretty much put the ball on Nolans foot or head. For me Carroll is the type of player I'd have in my 'perfect' formation, his mere presence will create space, something England desperately needed tonight, he also provides a different attacking option, you don't need to build a team around him. Part of the problem at West Ham is him being the only attacking outlet, it hampers his effectiveness as he's always surrounded by defenders, hopefully Morrison can get his head straight next year and take the pressure off. England don't have that problem
