That means **** all in regards to the current squad, how many of them were playing for the previous losses? I don't understand the use of stats coming from years ago, it is a pointless exercise. In terms of Brown I think he's overrated by Sunderland fans, inconsistent and rash, still much better than O'Shea though.
Listen fella, do you really want to turn your transfer thread into another Hull-Sunderand argument? I don't even care, your three wins last year mean nothing to me like as results proceeding it mean nothing. We stayed up and made a final, it's all irrelevant and has no baring on next season. Let's just keep the peace eh and stop all this cross board sniping? I'm making loads of effort with you lads and appreciate those who are making the effort back. Brown was outstanding last season. I saw every Sunderland game. His disciplinary record was dodgy yes but he was solid as rock.
I wasn't trying to start anything, my dad is a Mackem so it's not like i have some vendetta against Sunderland. I was merely pointing out that using results from 60 years ago to compare the current state of a club is one of the most ridiculous things in football.
It's all ridiculous as fair as I'm concerned fella. Bragging rights only mater to me when it involves the mags. Would be nice to visit your board without this false rivalry popping up every time. always a few of you trying to drag me in. I'm trying not to get involved(I failed this time)
But we are massive rivals. There's the Steve Bruce factor. No other club cares about either of us. Mackem ****!
What keeps me warm at night is beating our arch nemesis 3 times last season. You know it makes sense Mackem scum. I now hold our matches in higher regard than England v Germany.
An interesting but probably bollocks story coming out of the Mirror (surprise surprise), claims that Curtis Davies is a target for Everton, Sunderland and Newcastle, with the latter poised to offer £4m plus Steven Taylor. Everton and Sunderland are both willing to pay £8m. I'd say that was about right. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/newcastle-plot-curtis-davies-transfer-3659323?
Was Steven Taylor injured or something? He only managed 10 games last year. In 2010 it was 14, in 2011 it was 14 and in 2012 it was 25. That doesnt sound like he is much of a replacement. Personally I would reject all 3 offers cant see us replacing Davies.
