OK, is this the match thread then..? Just wrote on the other thread that, apart from a few dodgy tackles, Honduras have acquitted themselves quite well.

Rooney playing like a man petrified of getting injured. Lallana looking like an English Carzola with his feet, though I'm still not quite able to take joy in him at the moment.

Without the interruption we'd surely be ahead by now. I know it's only a friendly but we really should be winning this game.

I guess so, this is the Preperation thread, the other is the World Cup proper thread as I understood it?

The important thing is: No ****ing injuries

Glen Johnson is excluded though. Feel free to tear a muscle Glen.

Yeah, I get it. I was only posting on the other one because several others were.

Just heard Hoddle say Lallana is the one England need to get the ball to. Must say that when they do he looks in a class of his own. Rooney, by comparison, is strolling, and his touch is poor. Same thing is happening to him coming up to a World Cup. I'd drop him from the starting line-up.

Some heavy back passes from Rooney. Slightly worrying that of the players on the pitch only Lallana and Gerrard looking capable of receiving the ball under pressure.

I can't help but (optimistically) wonder if he isn't saving himself for the tournament proper, having suffered with injury etc in previous major events.

Lallana sems to be the only one capable of looking up and hitting the first time pass to one of his own.

Are the yellow boots a sponsorship thing, or have that many chosen to wear them?

England already looking sharper due to Barkley being on the pitch. Wilshere is another matter.

On the bench, got up once when Sturridge got clogged, but sat down again.

    And Rooney being off...

I actually think Wilshere's playing very well.
