Getting all our bids in and deals done before people know we have £80-90 million in the bank from the sale of Suarez, i think if he has a good world cup fear he will be gone, a bid from RM in the region of the Bale fee and although hugely disappointing would to be honest, too good to turn down, he will be 28 in January and this summer i fear will be the last chance to cash in big time!!! i think BR wants a team a bit like Chelsea( well how they should be) and Barcelona, a lot of exciting attacking midfielders and wide men, just the odd front man( Sturridge/Lambert). I do think if Suarez goes they will get another centre forward for 30/40 mill, the other 50 mill has now been bid, and then there will be another couple of maybe defensive purchases from player sales, so nett spend will be practically zero, but more numbers so wage bill may rise. Sensible if being honest, i know we all would like to spend 60+ million but club financial stability for the long term is more important, and we have a ground that needs developing.
dont give a monkeys what his value would or wouldn't be, be great for us as he is a world class player and we will be less inclined to sell then, and is more valuable to us wanting to win things than balancing the ruddy books. he is good for a good 3-4 yrs, if his value drops so be it, rather have him than the money.
what ho chaps. shaqiri for <20mil. fabregas rumours to be a snip at 30 mil or less and just over 100k per week wages.. this has ambramovich's hands all over it as the ex-special one only wants defenders. greasyman is available but i am unsure what we'd do with him if we are in for shaqiri who looks to have ample experience for a 22 year old to have a big impact. all in all who knows. oh and southampton to replace lallan with... steve sidwell... god that'll go down like a lead balloon with our saints compatriots.
We've definitely scouted him over the year and we have definitely inquired with Bayern about him since the end of the season with regards to availability and price...but no one seems certain on if a bid's gone in or not. Hopefully yes, but quite probably guesswork from the press.
I think probably yeah we have bid but I'm not sure about the player himself. He might be into the big club, thinking Robert or Robbins slot is his But then again an awful lot of guys at bayern seem to want out like muller

We won't sign Shaqiri, it's another one that as fans we're willing for it to happen, but ultimately won't happen. IMO!
No source anywhere on a bid, but plenty of reliable ones for us having inquired about his availability. Us, Juventus, Napoli and one other I can't recall are all seriously interested but (I don't think) no bids yet.
It can happen, why not. But it won't be on the cheap at 15m pounds, that's for sure. Maybe 20m would do it. He's a very powerful little left winger by trade, but can play elsewhere too. We have no out and out left winger, so he'll be handy for that reason alone.
