I am unconvinced that Koeman is the best manager available. However, of those managers who are beating on Les Reed's door, I think he is probably the best available, who is keen to be Saints manager. It underwhelms me slightly unless I put a optimistic spin on it for my own good feeling. Possibly I'm expecting too much. Even Cortese cast a virtual unknown in the PL, but back then Saints were their own slightly unknown property. Now the cat is definitely out of the bag. You keep the best players, replace Lambert and add a few bits of better quality and you have a team who could take on anyone in the PL and have a more than good chance of winning against them. It depends on injuries and thinness of squad if they can do it week in, week out. And the ultimate quality of the manager and his team.
Tbh I think the T's have been crossed and the I's had their dots put on top and the annouchment will be delayed for obvious reasons ala Shaw & lallana
Thought RK said they had some of Europe's best managers knocking his door down to manage Saints. Be interested to know who they were,or were they not that interested after they heard about the package Saints were offering.
We need to boost the Yes votes to catch up with the poll quoted in the Telegraph: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...man-about-succeeding-Mauricio-Pochettino.html I voted yes too by the way.
Well yes, that's the whole thing, isn't it. Koeman may be the best thing since sliced bread. I'll put my hand up and honestly say, I don't really know. In truth, I'm slightly doing what I often criticise others for. That is, behaving like sheep. I voted Yes simply because I looked at some evidence, thought slightly positively of it; noticed that he was well thought of by Feynoord fans, and plumped for Yes. It's not enough evidence to go on, is it..? Shame there's not an undecided option [once again]. I think I would have probably ended up voting don't know. Oh well, on similar iffy things Governments are elected.
