The consortium which contained several people not just Bartlett and Duffen, got us up in their first season. This was a mere 6 years ago. They also managed to get 38,000 City fans to Wembley. Thanks Adam Pearson for selling it to that consortium- they changed the club forever and made history. The current owners had never shown any interest in us until we got to the Premier League.
The amount of straight nos on this thread is very disappointing. Pearson saved the club and didn't hold us to ransom for it, he did wonders for us, then recognised when he'd took us as far as he could and proactively found new owners, and even graciously came back again when it went wrong and we needed him once again. In my time so far, he's been City's biggest hero off the pitch. Short memories for some.
Because of the Allams' paranoia, we never did get the truth on the exits of NP, NB and AP. All good men and silenced by the current owners. Some 'fans' are so desperate for PL football, they're prepared to ignore unpleasant truths about what our club is being turned into. What a mess we will be left with.
Looking at ''our saviour'', from a slightly twisted direction, I can't imagine AP would have had any interest in Hull City had HCCouncil not built the KC Stadium. The much maligned Council are the true saviours of our club; without the KC we'd probably have gone the same way as Grimsby, Lincoln, Cambridge etc etc ............ just a thought before bedtime !

We've had plenty of saviours in the last 20 years. The stadium was very important of course. I was only about 10 at the time so I don't remember that well, but wasn't Pearson partly to thank for getting the stadium finally built? Fair point, financially he wouldn't be able to as an owner. It's sad that an owner has to be already wealthy nowadays, and being good at running a football club is an afterthought rather than a requirement. As OLM said though, he'd be ideal for the club in an executive role such as the CEO.

did anyone say he could or should? the question was whether we'd have him back. the question didn't mention what capacity we'd have him back in. the club desperately needs someone who can give out information and listen to the fans. it sure as hell doesn't have anyone like that now.

Its quite ironic, that in a yes or no situation the majority are saying no, and yet many are singing his praises for what he did and would welcome him back tommorow in a CEO type role. Just goes to show its all about the question you ask not the answer you get.
i don't think AP was given the same level of scrutiny the Allams ever were , before or after the name change debacle . AP was trusted too readily from what i could gather , it was an unconditional love and i was a bit uncomfortable with that .
I would certainly like to see AP back in some sort of role within the club. I get fed up of people saying you wouldn't be this without the Allams and you wouldn't be that etc. AP played a massive part in our rise through the leagues and owners & chairmen before him also played a role in setting us on our way to where we are now.
