Here's a wacky idea, how about using the money being spent on Miller's wages being used to hire a "Chief Scout" to identify bright prospects abroad and within the Scottish game, then Rangers may be able to live within their means. For years the answer seemed to be simply outspend everyone else and it appears that no one has learned any lessons at all, yourself included.

Is that the grand plan then, get back to somewhere you have not been for 4 years by spending money you don't have on players looking to make a last addition to the retirement fund? Miller, Daly and a good few others (Boyd too if he signs) are not signing for your good or Rangers, they are signing because no one else is stupid enough to pay the wages Rangers are offering.

Kevin Kyle said as much recently.

Victor wanyama. Bought for £800k sold for £12.5m. Had never heard of him before celtic signed him.

Miller is 34. Youll struggle to get out of the championship this year imo - if you go into admin. Might be 2 yeaes before you get to the spl. I wont be worried about a 36 year old kenny miller playing against us.

Rangers are shipping money like it's going out of fashion . Yet they sign a **** that was a has been 4 years ago and you're coming in your in boxers .

How the fuck do you know how much Rangers are offering ?

We need ready-made players like Miller and Boyd because they'll make an immediate impact - we already know what they bring to the table.

Once we're back and hopefully rid of bastards bleeding the club dry we can look at investing in a proper scouting system and bringing in players with a sell-on value.

And I asked you to name names, not go off on one of your usual rants.

Andy Little's a nice guy but absolutely nowhere near good enough.

Charlie Telfer ? How many of those moaning about this have actually seen the boy play ?

And as BFDJ says, McCoist wanted him to stay but his Dad thinks his boy should be playing first team football and thinks he has more opportunity at Dundee Utd.

He might turn out to be ****e for all we know.

And if you can't see the benefit in signing Kenny Miller who'll bang in at least 20 goals next season then I'm wasting my time.

    A has been 4 years ago.... <laugh>

Only 10 months ago he turned Gary Cahill inside out and banged a screamer past Joe Hart at Wembley.

Wish we could find a few more hasbeens of his quality prepared to play in that **** league we're in.

    Dreamer.

Rangers could have won 3rd n 2nd divisions without spending a fortune... and took it as a chance to develop young playersbut instead signed ****s like Daly n Kyle n black...

Mccoists signing policy has been shocking ...

    And long may it continue...

Rangers would not have won those leagues with the players we had. Guys like Perry, Hutton, Hegarty and Crawford are simply nowhere near good enough.

McCoist had to bring in experienced pro's.

I agree you needed experience but I think it could maybe have been done cheaper...did it really need guys on a few grand a week?

I don't know the wages paid but I do think nccoist has squandered what little money you had...

I see the sense in a Boyd but not a Miller but I agree that Miller will score goals at that level.

Signing Kenny Miller - and hopefully Boyd - all but guarantees the Championship.
