I would never in a thousand years ever have any form of protein shake.

They come with the "oh he must be a ****er" stigma but in reality they really do help if you go to the gym regularly.

Everything is dangerous if you have way too much of it over a long period of time.

Yeah the meathead gym ****er type pisses me off but there's nothing wrong with gym supplements if you're a normal person about it.

I've come pretty close to getting protein, maybe I will sometime. I've definitely seen people get fat from it though, and all the extra stuff with long/exotic names is probably crap. Simple protein stuff with a bit of flavouring is as safe as any other food.

I'm sure you've already done your research but if you do get protein buy it in bulk from Amazon. The discounts are ridiculous.

Learned something from that. One incidental bit was that the disease was the subject of the short story and novel, Flowers for Algernon. The novel has been made into audio and video dramatisations, but the most notable is Charly, starring the late Cliff Robertson, who received an Academy Award for Best Actor, for his performance as Charlie Gordon, a 32 year old man with an IQ of 68, who suffers from Phenylketonuria. Quite a moving story. The whole film can be seen in 10 min' snippets on Youtube.

Yeah and I don't really trust all the colourful stuff that goes into supplement style shops (a lot of vitamins are rubbish). Simple well known brands are the way.
PS having all food paid for is dangerous in the USA. About to go to yet another restaurant <yikes>

Yeah we have a huge bucket of the stuff from Amazon. You'll only get fat if you start necking it without exercising.
