I don't suppose we will find out until the new kit is releqawd, or just a bit before. I expect it will be a foreign company. As an aside, does the money coming in from sponsorship come from a price we offer the company, or is it vice versa?
I think it'd be great to not have a sponsor. **** em even if we got 3 million a year its nowt to the Sky money. We could be like Barca and take the high moral ground, get more publicity too.
Would prefer in that situation to put a charities logo on our kit for free rather than just have nothing. Not sure about your tax laws but you might even be able to claim the value as a tax deductible donation or something.
Commercially, it would be a terrible idea, but I'd love it if we had Dove House on our shirts for a season. Maybe if we could sell the Premier League games to one sponsor and the Europa League games to another sponsor(as has been suggested), we could get away with doing our domestic cup games for a season?
Where on earth would you put "were" into that sentence? Do Barca have a weresponsor? Will they all stop shaving and only play on full moon evenings?
I'd love us just to have 'The Tigers' without the sponsorship money, if AA wants recognition from Asia that's the simple way of going about it, I'm sure if the word 'Tiger' is such a big deal over there we'd get a few more followers buying shirts etc... which would/could amass the same revenue.
If you were to get a few more ( do we have any ) followers buying shirts in Asia, you can be fairly sure the club would not see 1p of additional income. Shirt sale's count in counties where there are established big team's and rich customers to pay the club 50 quid for a shirt. Out here in the wild East you can buy any of the successful teams shirts for less than a tenner, and none of that will get back to the club.
