You could try bicycle clips, though folk may think you are suffering with a gastric condition! ;)

Had a similar problem in Oz a good few years ago whilst working for the Forestry Dept., when all sorts of beasties used to do exactly that. I asked a local if there was somewhere I could buy something to stop them & he replied with a rather incredulous look on his face "Whyn't ya wear shorts like everyone else?"....

Morning all, top temperature today expected to be around 30°C. There is little breeze, but we do not get humid conditions very often to go with the heat.

Why do the Football League have to have their annual meeting in Portugal? Plenty of places around England with golf courses. :(

The members have to go to their villas so to get the Football League to pay for the flights and hotels when the cleaners are there is good for the council.

I know that I give the BBC a lot of stick for some of the poor reporting and their PC liberal leanings. But this week some of their programming has been exceptional.
Wonderful programs on BBC4 this week and the coverage of the D-Day Memoral day this morning on 5 Live is wonderful - people are calling in with their memories of D-Day. But most of the callers are the children and relatives of those who took part - happy, poignant, emotional and sometimes heartbreaking stories - as many of them are no longer with us.

Top post <applause> For all the criticism the Beeb attracts nobody quite manages to cover the major events quite as well as they do

If there was no BBC I would not bother to have a television.

Probably Yorkie - but I would like them all to actually act as journalists, question harder, don't let the buggers get away with not answering a question.

Awesome - brings it home a bit.

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/09/27/fallen-9000-sand-stencils-dday_n_4003959.html

I heard on the radio this morning that there were more French civilians killed during D Day than Americans on Omaha beach - that is why we should never forget.

Little Miss W_Y is off to Thailand next week for 3 weeks back-packing - she is spending 2 days at the Allied Cemeteries and The Railway memorials. She just decided to do it on her own - my beloved old uncle, who was a POW, would be so proud.

Very hot here today, so I did stay inside to keep cooler this afternoon. We have made comment above about the splendid coverage that the BBC gave to the D-Day landings, but there was very good coverage on French TV as well. They moved the tennis semi-finals off of TF2 so that the program would be uninterrupted. What came over very strongly was the gratitude of this nation towards all those who gave their lives to free the country. Quite central to much of the thanks was the way that nations within Europe have slowly found their way towards each other to prevent such a horror ever happening again. Still some way to go maybe, but it did strike me that those who want to go their separate ways have got it wrong.
