Instead of fannying on with Wigan over Nzogbia, why not make an approach for a better winger? Adam Johnson?

I know some of you want to prioritize strikers right now, but i think instead of just signing a load of French/unproven talent, we should sign a quality attacking mid that has proven himself a great player in the PL.

Man Citeh will no doubt be spending huge again, and Johnson was hardly their first choice last season.

We could offer him first team football. I know he's probably on 80k a week at Man City, but if he would agree a pay cut to say 55k/60k a week, would you take him?

He should prove what's more important to him, playing or his pay check. I'd take him for 12m, maybe 14m.

i ****ing wish, as much as i love him to be here, he wont be up for sale, he does get a look in and he is a crowd favourite, he wont be leaving city anytime soon especially with the home grown rule

He's very skillfull but i couldn't see Citeh selling him, it also would depend on the wages to, no doubt he's on a ridiculous amount there.

I like the thought of Johnson and Ben Arfa in the same team - very creative and pacy, Tiote and Barton would have to be very disciplined in that line-up to protect the back 4 as I can't really see either winger tracking back.

He played 20+ games last season I think. Plus he was getting played more regularly as the season went on. If there was any chance of it though (which there isn't ) then obviously. And he's a Toon fan (kinda)

 

I'd rather have The Zog - better player but worse attitude - can't see the love for A Johnson, he scored one spectacular goal and he is worshipped as the 'future of England'

As for Johnson, he'd be near the top of my wanted list if I felt we needed another winger, but its far from priority right now.
