I caught a little bit of the Toulon tournament and I can't remember who England were playing, but when they came out before the match each player had a mascot each which seems to be the tradition for these matches. Most players held the mascots hand looking ahead with their game face on, what was JWP doing?

On the striker front we need at least two. Rumour that Valencia were going to put in a bid for Lukaku at around £18m. With player sales that would be in our price range, whether he would come here is another matter of course.

Imagine how Feyenoorders must have felt replacing Guidetti with a guy who had scored less than 20 goals over the five preceding years and over 100 appearances.

He's not wrong about the difficulty of replacing players even if you have money. We all know the important thing is to graft a few players onto our successful team rather than attempt to buy a whole new squad. Top clubs buy players in, but can afford the odd failure (which happens to any team)...we can't afford getting an Osvaldo for every Lovren.

While i honestly don't begrudge the board for allowing rickie the move its true that replacing him will be hell. I know its a dream but there are rumors (as always) of wenger looking to sell podolski which i would love for the board to jump on and try to lure him to saints. If we could somehow conspire to sign podolski and HSV's lasogga we would be scoring goals for fun against almost all opponents.

I know its a fantasy but i can't help imagining the clubs future should that ever become even remotely realistic.
