Anyone who thinks that their regular hash intake isn't having an impact on their physical and mental state, is delusional btw. Dope makes you lazy, you can't function normally after smoking some decent quality weed. So you sit about, talking ****, watching TV, listening to tunes and eating Kit Kats. We all know that's how it works......
That's a bit simplistic, Tobes. If the only person affected is the one who partakes then yes, you'd be right, but how often is that the case? People's behaviour almost always affects others, so in that light it becomes the concern of society as a whole, and not just the individual. Drink driving is an obvious example, but it applies to almost everything. On a side note, I know a few people who are intensely paranoid- almost certainly due to extensive weed use, but also one or two who seem largely unaffected. I suppose like most things, different people are affected differently.
THIS There is this perception, mostly enforced from the media that everyone who uses cannabis smokes it. All day. Everyday. This is plain wrong, we don't assume that every person consuming alcohol is an alcoholic. It is all about moderation, excess in anything will lead to problems.
You guys are right I do know more alcoholics than I know pot heads... But I do know both types Moderation is a nice concept for such, some people do seem incapable
That's what I meant. If people drive whilst intoxicated, that's nothing to do with their right to ingest what they wish. I don't see how someone growing plants at home and then smoking them impacts on anyone bar themselves? If people are growing industrially, dealing etc that's a different matter, but people should have the basic right to ingest what they wish, it's not a Govt's place to legislate to the contrary. That's all I'm saying.
Saint, supposed weed related mental conditions have declined in the UK while weed use and weed potency has sky rocketed which actually totally debunks that myth.. entirely. People who drink non stop get paranoid, anyone who abuses coke gets paranoid. Substance abuse and the live that goes with it creates paranoia. here's the thing too, there are two main substances in weed, if one lacks which it often does in hydroponic growing, it can be a harsher experience compared to the mellow buzz. Also, there are many different strains, some give a serious head buzz, some a physical body buzz, some both. If it was legal and choice was available everyone can actually choose which is the best for them, like i Holland.
The ingredients are water vapour, glycerine and nicotine. Govt's and health organisations are being uber cautious in openly saying they're a 'safe' alternative to smoking tobacco, due to the lack of in depth testing of the 'vape' products. It's nothing more than professional arse covering though, as compared to tobacco there simply is no comparison in terms of risk. You'd ingest more harmful toxins walking into town, than smoking a vape stick for hours on end.
The old Yates's Wine Lodge slogan was "Moderation is true temperance" I've never seen much moderation going on in any Yates's
It was largely a joke of course, but heavy weed use makes you lazy through lethargy of mind and body, it's a fact mate.
Comedic hyperbole. Yes, there is a culture, and yes some movies (Seth Rogen movies) pander to it with OTT representations. Why is it all films relating to alcohol/cocaine/heroin/insertdrughere use as a central plot line are hard hitting dramas but all weed movies are jokes?
Seth Rogan Johnny depp Woody Harrelson, all substance abusers who have massively achieved, just off the top of my head. It's down to the individual not the substance.
