Goals There, Just Waiting For Lewis To Grab ´Em

I like this first piece of business we´ve done
And please excuse the Freudian slip,
Last year he certainly scored goals for fun
With hardly a sign of a blip

It´s good that he´s done it at this level too
Something I think last year we missed,
And positive that Adams could turn the screw
Ahead of others on his list

Also I think the pair of Holt and Royle
As coach and ´football almanack´,
Will help Adams N, and be a good foil
To have there, standing at his back

Next I suppose is hanging on to those
Who many would like us to sell,
But there could be others here under our nose
If we have to bid some farewell

Positive so far that none have left yet
Of those that we feared most might leave,
But it´s early days and I´m sure some would bet
It´s perhaps only a reprieve

At least this does look like quite a good start
But until the grass is made lush,
We can only hope that he´ll be a big part
Of yet one more promotion push. OTBC

Nice work RBF, good to hear from you after a short break. Let us hope that he is not to be another white elephant (or is it pink?), but as you point out, he has done it at this level whereas RvW had not.
