    Hodgson never said he wanted it sorted out before the world cup. He just said he didn't want it done during the world cup. So before or after but not during. Maybe 2016 :)

    As above, may sound like I'm a turncoat fickle fan but I'm more disappointed in the way things seem to be rather than wanting rid. Always like to believe that what people say is true and always disappointed that it nearly always turns out to be empty words but thats life I suppose. lol. Words are very easy

    I know it's old - but why's he doing it?

    I don't see anyone answering the question. I bet the Southampton board aren't happy, surely this breaks some kind of club policy? Unless the deal is done and not announced yet?

    I don't know about that but it taught me why Lallana needed the number 20 on his england shirt. It's part of his signature.

    The problem is it's a Liverpool shirt, which is the club that has bid for him, and also a club that's in the CL - which Lallana has made it clear he wants to play in.

    For me that just sends out a message. Or perhaps I'm reading to much into it <ok>

    It's not like he staged the whole thing. The kid happened to be a Liverpool fan with a Liverpool shirt. Should Lallana be signing everything but Liverpool merch?

    Cheers. With what he said before about Rickie signing for Liverpool before it was announced and these other bits and bobs, I don't think Roy is being fully respectful to us. I mean, he pretty much got a free season ticket last season, and we are providing the national side with players from all age groups, the least he could do is not fuel the fire in regards to transfers.
