Seems a good buy loads of potential but £10 million is a lot for potential. I hope he's ready to go and surprises people a little like Coutinho did.
Looks very good, a lot of journos that cover the bundesliga on twitter saying he'll be an excellent addition. I guess time will tell...
One of the best talents in German football - highly rated and has experience at some big clubs (playing wise with Leverkusen, and being amongst big players, title winners at Bayern). I can see him being rotated with Gerrard at DM but wouldn't be surprised to see him as the B2B CM. As much as I rated Coutinho before he signed, I didn't think he could make an instant impact. But he certainly showed us. Will Can make an instant impact? I don't know - but I think he can at least battle physically which will help him while he improves on the technical side.
He might turn out to be a great little signing, he's clearly got potential, but I don't see how it helps our prospects in the immediate future. Like Coutinho, I don't think he'll make much impact against the better European teams and his form will be inconsistent in the PL. We surely need players for now, not next year or later. He might prove me wrong, but I can't recall many young midfielders dominating and controlling a game.
Disagree. Coutinho is at his best against the better sides. He took Arsenal apart for example. Can is something we need, an energetic, powerful midfielder, who Rodgers can develop to be one of the best.
