CTWD is acutely aware of the considerable disquiet that has accompanied the wording of the recently issued season card renewal forms for 2014-15. We have therefore written to the club to seek clarity on behalf of all Hull City fans. We will post the response from Mr Mooney when it arrives. A copy of the letter can be found at the following link: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B_kURRcuxFdXOWkwWHZBQmRmZ0U/view?pli=1&sle=true
Good work again by CTWD. The disdain shown by the current owners towards the supporters and the FA is quite staggering.
I think we are the only club in the country that has a chairman who makes the fans feel like he's doing us a favour! Or am I being paranoid?
I expect AA will apply for the name change every year. He'll grind away at CTWD until their core support dwindles, a prime example being the omission of Hull City on the renewal forms. I also expect the new badge will have just a single word 'Tigers' or possibly none at all. The more he does it, the more fans will either discontinue their support for the club in protest or just shrug their shoulders in apathy with the view "I just can't be arsed with this any longer"
We already have no name on our badge. Witness the renewal literature. If not a stealth move to erase the old one on the way to his new Frankenstein one, then a spiteful show of contempt to the FA because he can't call his toy what he wants, so no one else gets to call it what they want.
Agreed, this is more relevant to the fans that have been moved without consultation, who have had the same seat since the stadium opened (and get really **** options for seat moves) than not putting the playing name on a renewal form.
At least Allam has kept the prices at a level which befits the working class area in which the club is based. Wait a minute...he's done a price hike as well!
I e-mailed the club earlier this week asking for clarification on the name, pointing out that the response could ultimately dictate whether I renewed or not. The silence is predictable and deafening.
Obviously you're not a valued customer then. Unless of course....they're deliberately covering up their true intentions then?
You are probably right, and the worse thing is when it all goes tits up, and god forbid we get relegated, all the clubs new found passive less confrontational supporters will be gone like a shot.
If we learnt anything from our last relegation from the Prem it was to ensure relegation clauses in players contracts. You plan for staying up and you have a back up plan for a relegation scenario. You also have to have both scenarios in mind for supporters, excepting the loss of Premier League trippers only pass holders but aim to retain as many core supporters as possible and this means engaging with core support, treating them with respect, recognising and valuing their loyalty and rewarding that loyalty.
Wishful thinking. 'Hull City' will be no more - much like the ancient Pharaohs used to chisel out and replace hieroglyphs so their predecessors and enemies were written out of history. Maybe it's an Egyptian thing.....
It's not wishful thinking, I understand the new badge will be the same as the old one, but with the 'AFC' and 'THE' removed.
