Thus far: Swindon Town - Away - Monday 21st July 7:30pm AFC Bournemouth - Away - Friday 25th July 7:45pm Brighton & Hove Albion - Away - Thursday 31st July 7:45pm
Be nice if we put out a team made up of U21s and Academy lads and Lallana (just to rub their noses in it).
Shame Brighton one isn't on a Saturday, would have made a good day out. Bornmuff on a Friday night could be lively though.
So once again we have a situation with pre-season matches organised against Bournemouth and Brighton; one can choose to see in 2 different ways: Either The board is interested in doing what is best for the fans, organising local games with local teams that fans can go to, enjoy, etc. They are keen not to put anyone at the club under too much pressure at a time of great uncertainty. Or The board is a clueless bunch of lazy mugs who don't have the interest or clout to get top teams like Ajax, or to go on a tour (like we did last year), and just go for the easy option of the teams down the road. What do we think?
Merged the threads. Please don't start a new thread without checking to see if there is already one on the same topic. Thanks
I'm sure they'll be going on a foreign training camp with a couple of local friendlies over there too.
My understanding is that SFC made the decision not to go abroad this year due to the World Cup. There'll obviously be some bigger friendlies, but I haven't heard anything about going abroad.
You do remember that friendlies are rubbish, right? You remember that feeling of looking forward to seeing the team play & possibly some new signings, but then after 30 minutes of slow tippy tappy non competitive football you think to yourself "why do I fall into this trap every sodding year?!" Unless of course the game is just a minor part of the overall piss up that day of course.
Looks like you've been roped into play Bournemouth as well. We're playing them again for the sixth time in two seasons (I kid you not). When I saw that were playing them yet again, I could have cried.
