Was Sterling's for the tackle or what? Lino didn't even give a foul!

As if this game needed to get any more open.

No way on earth that card deserved a red card. Probably not even a yellow.

    PS Patty: just stop digging.

And what's that big circle thing the bloke in the crowd behind the incident's got? I think it's a mindmelder.

    Has Smalling changed his shirt?

Milner was lucky not to get a card coloured bollocking, Sterling shouldn't have gone.

Hang on does what? He literally stood still and looked at Valencia like the silly **** he was being. He couldn't have retaliated any less? I can only assume it was for the tackle, but as I said above, the linesmen didn't even give a foul. He got the ball and rolled over it a bit so could have been for that but still seems weird.

Sterling dived in from behind with one stud in the air, catching Valencia as he came through.

Sterling was sent off for the foul, Valencia was sent off for the handbags.

Only Valencia deserved to go though. All it's done is ruin a perfectly good game. Although I suppose it's good practice to play with 10.

Sterling's tackle would've been a red in most league games, over the top of the ball and wasn't in control. Seen many reds for that.

    Valencia's response was ridiculous.

Do you think an Italian in the WC will do what Valencia did and bounce up and grab him? Or will he roll about in agony while his teammates scream two footed round the ref. Stupid challenge.
Doesnt get you sent off on a parks pitch but it does in the WC

This is a friendly. Get a grip on perspective.

It's a week until the World Cup. I wouldn't fancy it being over after because some overzealous **** broke my leg.

I can only assume that by some coincidence there are two opposing players in the Lux v Italy game called Valencia and Sterling cos that **** your knocking out isn't what happened in the England game.

It's exactly what happened <laugh> Sterling was too keen to get the ball in a nothing area of the pitch in a friendly, in doing so he slid in from behind and caught Valencia on the way.

Valencia reacted badly because he didn't want to be injured however that's no reason to put your fingers round someone's neck.
