It's been widely in papers as that but we didn't spend a penny in Christmas so it must be close to it I would say Shaqiri or lallana not both so if Moreno is 16 Lambert is 4 Shaqiri is 20 Can is 10 That'd leave one more big one prior to sales I think it'd be interesting to see if that was it how itd wash out.... The deal had appeared to stall over the weekend because of the player's personal terms. But talks are progressing more smoothly now and all parties are hopeful a deal can be concluded in the coming week. Can, who is also eligible for Turkey, joined Leverkusen from Bayern Munich last summer in a deal worth £4m. He impressed Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers with a series of combative performances that helped Leverkusen finish fourth in the Bundesliga and reach next season's Champions League. The Frankfurt-born player prefers to play in central midfield but can also operate in defence.
Good to see that Can is pretty much sorted. One of the brightest talents in German football - highly rated. Has experience of playing for a big club with Bayern so he's aware of the pressures and expectation. Last season was his breakout season for a good Leverkusen side. Versatile player and has a great engine - after Allen and Henderson, we now have competition who can play as the powerful central midfielder (not including Lucas because he's so slow and immobile).
Roodgers said he wants 6 players in. I reckon one will be a keeper, but not before Reina leaves. Swansea signed a keeper last week so Vorm could be on his way.
Sort of agree plus he's 29. You'd think he'd want to be playing 1st XI even if it was for a midtable team.
Maybe he thinks he can get ahad of Mignolet after a few dodgy performances last year? Would rather a keeper come and think he can get number 1 spot than just come and settle for sitting on the bench all season.
