I'm hoping he flops like the majority of their big money strikers have done. Hopefully Hazard gets more annoyed with their ****e style of football though and pushes to leave...that'll cut his supply down greatly.

We could have had him for £23m last summer but lack of CL football meant he stayed. Shame, could have been a brilliant option for us last year. A big physical striker offering something different to SAS.

He'll be a good signing for them. Atletico play similar football to Chelsea in that they're very direct so he'll be used to dealing with that sort of play.

If he isn't a one season wonder could mean Chelsea are favourites to win the league. A striker that can score goals is the one thing they've been missing. Particularly if Man City don't wade into the transfer market much this summer (and with FFP bans they really shouldn't be able to)

£49mil, unless they sell. For they players they should be looking at 49mil isn't going to go that far.

They can easily raise £30-£40m with a few player sales.

Looking at their team, what do they need to strengthen? New CB? another CM instead of Garcia?

Looks like their signing Fernando for £15m, that's the CM covered. Leaves £34m on a defender... should be more than enough. Then anything they raise through sales can go on another attacking player or full back.

Good for Hyypia. Means he won't be our head defensive coach though! :(

True but couldn't see him going back into coaching after being manager. Very rarely see managers take a step back like that.

Hope he uses his connections to get a few Liverpool players on loan and get Brighton up into the Prem. Just be nice to see him back in England though.
