I thought the new Villa-Boas was Alex McLeish ?

Brace yourself for another onslaught of arse-licking ,southern based Jurno articles on Chelskis capture of the " new messiah" !!!!! The gushing will start today, about this relatively unknown, unproven in the premier league, superstar who is already being referred to by the BBC as " the special one mark 2 ". It will all end in tears !

His achievements are pretty amazing. And I don't know what southern media has to do with anything.

Robin, being a L'arse fan I can understand why you don't get the "southern based media " bit as your team get their fair share of hype every year, only to end up without a trophy as usual ! I've not heard one southern jurno say that Sir Alex is BRILL19NT whilst the sun shines out of Wingers arse every year, with his Arselona style of football

Ferguson gets more praise then any other manager and deservedly so. Don't know why you have to think the whole world is against you all the time.

Just popped in to say the joke in the title is appalling. And your media conspiracies are nonsense in this instance, Man U get hyped up and praised as much as any other side, more so than Chelsea and Arsenal I'd say. Arsenal especially seem to come in for a lot of criticism for Wenger's approach to management.

He looks like a promising manager and his achievements with Porto are pretty good. I'm not sure the BBC really needed 5 or 6 separate blogs on the guy though.

Will Roman give him any real time to prove himelf though?

No is probably the answer to that. Which is why Chelsea will only have a limited amount of success instead of dominating for long periods.

Honestly though with the stories you hear about Drogba, Lampard and Terry leading the dressing room over the managers I won't give Villas-Boas much time. Especially if Drogba and Lampard are both older than him!

MUFCOCK did you not read my second post ? Of course I mentioned Sir Alex is BRILL19NT and will continue to do so until he gives me reason to do otherwise ( eg our 20th title !) but on a serious note Chelski's new manager does seem to have lots of potential and anyone that comes with an endorsement from the late Sir Bobby Robson may have something special. What I don't understand is why would any decent manager would want to take up the poisonous challis at Chelski, when better managers than him have been shown a total lack of respect, not to mention "the door" by the spoilt czar ?

While you seem like a good poster if you are serious about the BRILL19NT rubbish then you are a bellend. If it's a wind up to try and be funny then well done. It is quite funny.

Also if you are about 47 or whatever you claim I doubt you would be using words like 'Chelski' 'L'Arse' or the laughable 'BRILL19NT'

MUFCOCK I can't remember ever mentioning that I was 47 or indeed any age for that matter and can only guess you are doing simple maths with my user name and the current year ? Of course the BRILL19NT bit is just for fun ( and to wind up the scousers that visit our pages ! ) Your remarks about the words I choose to use to describe other teams are a bit ageist and I think you should show some respect to your elders young man!!!! Next you'll be telling me I cant wear jeans or trainers at my age or possibly have an opinion on subjects that should be left to the young ones ? Lets just say that I could be drawing my state pension in a couple of years, if I'm lucky enough to still be alive by then, but more importantly would like to think we are celebrating our 21st title and at least one more Champs league win . By the way I'm still waiting for you to enlighten me of how I can get into Old Trafford on match days without paying.

Simple enough answer. Don't read the papers, and mute the TV when the pundits start gushing about Mourinho.
