Transfer activity at Arsenal. Very strange, I feel we're in for another summer of missed opportunities! Surely Arsene should have identified his targets by now and going all out to bring them in! Don't understand?????????????????

International window hasn't opened. And we are probably wrapping up the Gervinho deal right now.

I agree with you about him but I hope we are both wrong. For what its worth Jayram thinks he is very good and has seen him play more than I have anyway.

Don't you lot get sick of Arsenal charging ridiculously high prices for match tickets and then not putting money into the team?

Wenger continues to refuse to make the major changes that are needed, I feel he is cheating your fans.

I realise you had the stadium debt to pay off and would like to be in a strong financial position but what's the point if your club doesn't show ambition on the pitch?

He's not cheating the fans. We've been on a tight budget due to our stadium costs and unlike other teams we don't have owners who are prepared to put the club into massive debt. Wenger has been developing the team on a shoestring, but I think this summer he will make some more signings.

The majority of our tickets are cheaper than a lot of other Premiership teams.

I'll give you four examples from last season. For the home games against WBA,Fulham,Blackpool and Everton opposing fans would have paid £33/34 for a ticket at the Emirates.I paid £40 at WBA,£40 to sit in a temporary stand behind a pillar at Bloomfield Road, not forgetting the portaloos,£35 to sit in an uncovered seat at Goodison and £49 for a ticket at Craven Cottage.
If you read my post again,i said the majority of our tickets are cheaper.I'm quite aware we charge ridiculous prices for the dearest seats at category "A" games <ok>.How much do you normally pay for a ticket to watch Arsenal ?

I will be giving him a blank slate of course, am just sharing my opinion on him from what I have seen. As I said I hope he proves me wrong and will be the first to admit it.

The thing is there are many factors behind transfers, many not in the buying clubs control.

The selling club will want to identify replacements before starting negotiations.
The selling club will want to drag out a sale in the hope that a bidding war begins.
The player may want to fully explore options available to him.

Arsenal may be waiting for firm interest in the likes of Bendtner and Denilson.
We will also be waiting for Cesc, Nasri and Clichy to sort their future out.

And the likelihood is that we have targets identified and the process of signing players is well underway.

Sadly it is not as easy as just offering money and it being accepted, deal done.
Anyone who has gone through the process of buying a house may have had experience of long drawn out processes similar to what clubs will have buying players.

Patience is the key. Start panicking if we get to mid-July without any real developments.
