been very quiet this one Latest I heard was from Carl Lawson who said Colback was saying a deal with us was close Local newspapers though normally tend to have good sources
If they think he's going there they'll suddenly claim they always had respect for him and thought he was our best player by a mile If it falls through they'll say he's ****e. Making a permanent signing would have their heads spinning! I believe he'll go there but think anyone who goes to work under Pardew has zero ambition.
I'm hoping this will be put to bed by the end of this week, we need to recruit a replacement if he's going - he's had long enough to decide now and if he thinks he can get a better deal elsewhere good luck to the lad and he goes with best wishes.
I'd wish the lad all the best if he went to Everton, Swansea or WHU, but not if he joins them up the road. That's two fingers up to the club that'd developed him in my opinion. Though if he's such a massive Toon fan then why did he rub it in so much after the 3-0...
Cant understand why he would go to them. Not just cause they are our rivals, but I dont see how he thinks moving to them would advance his career in any way shape or form. It has to be £££, but isnt west ham supposed to have offered him a massive deal?
To be fair he has a young family in the area, supports Newcastle and has probably copped a few quid. He's found his level and he's happy with it ..........
He'll suit their style perfectly. Jack will pick up lose balls in midfield, then pass it back to the CB's who'll hoof it up field. Let's face it, Jack wouldn't be required to pass the ball forward playing their system
He's a rare thing is jack. A mag with professionalism. I won't begrudge any player that goes to play for their childhood team. I'm not convinced he would go their should he leave us. ,
