He wasn't the most technically gifted but always gave a 100%, he also had that "they shall not pass" attitude. If they did get past, it was a case of them taking the long way round. He wasn't to shabby at getting the ball forward either.

Yes Bolton v Manchester City. Nat Lofthouse barged Bert Trautmann into the City net and the goal counted. Trautmann was a bit shaken but continued playing.
