The second FLAG meeting was attended by Nick Thompson, Ash Lord, Les Motherby, Chris Cooper, Louis Cooper(along with someone else from the Ulltras), Peter Johnson, Kate Ogram, Judith(OSC) and a couple of other people who weren't known to the rest of the group. The moving of the away fans wasn't discussed at this meeting. I'm told that the decision to move the away fans was taken very quickly, it wasn't even on the cards until well after Christmas and was therefore rushed through without the consultation/discussion that should have taken place.
Obi, I think that either you have mis-understood or I have mis-led. Bernard Noble has never mentioned moving supporters and I have never had such a conversation about the subject with him. To be honest I do not think that the move would even have registered with him yet. I posted on here that the Easy Stand would be moved this season ages ago, but the means and method was different. I cannot tell you where I got the idea from, because it was formed from bits of things that where said to me by different people and I put two and two together along with some bits from the club.
I celebrate the fact that next season I will be stood in the north stand ....behind a goal just like I did when my dad first took me to BP and we stood behind the goal on bunkers... I have always liked being behind the goal at footy. The club should never have put away fans in the north stand in the first place. (imo) Its a positive for me. 'Kop ' ends should be behind the goal.....Bring on safe standing in the north stand
I've been in North Stand a few times i quite like it behind the goal. I'm renewing in West and then will se what available over there. Will it be empty as some think or heaving and one of the best moves the club has made? TWT
Hope you come in the North Stand Chazz. Will be just like the old days on bunkers . I'm in N4 Hope to see you in there soon
I have a funny feeing that as time goes by the memory of the atmosphere and noise created by E1 to E3 will grow year on year. The fact it creates next to f**k all will be lost time. I also wonder if some of the disposed supporters will remain quiet next season just to prove a point.
And that about sums up just how incomplete the information on this has been. A disparate bunch of folk attend a meeting dominated by the Bubble, they get a slither of info (give it the value 2, as in 2 + 2 . . .) about an old idea to move fans, nothing more definite than that. Others have conversations with folk and get a similar slither of information. So what is there to report back; certainly nothing more certain than conjecture? The club, in it's normal clumsy style, then implements a seat change, a seat change that will upset some supporters, just as any would. Then those who thought it unnecessary to deal in conjecture are held to account for allowing the club to bring in the change. Why is that necessary, who does it help?
Lol chazz Me neither ... I nearly had a bloody stroke walking up the steps to west upper when I went in there once.... I'm ok standing....its just the walking I don't like.
**** off it was a seething cauldron of noise in there game after game. Better than kempton ever was and that was ****ing brilliant
g I don't see too many disputing that there are problems with the atmosphere that needed addressing. I also reckon people will make every effort to make this mess work. Unfortunately, when people do try to discuss ways of improving the atmosphere, or ways to make best of the mess, others seem to try hard to disrupt it.
Just another snide answer. Us, as in thread readers. Stop acting like some tart and post what you know, if you know anything.
