Already some on here think he can do as he wants, it's his money etc. So if he has one of hissy fits tomorrow and demands his £80 million back pronto, jeopardising the club's ability to see the week out, presumably their reaction will be the same smug, uncomprehending 'He can do as he wants'.
As long as City are being talked about in the context of "£9.75m swoops for Amalfitano & Ryan Bertrand" then there is a shockingly high % of supporters who would allow Allam to do whatever he pleases. Yes, you know who you are.
He'll be called Plastic Bertrand by some if he signs because the plastics are the ones who demand these signings.
Never said there was, just that you can do it, along with editing and moving, with alacrity; it's your style, a bit like talking over folk in a room. Not run off on anything; you don't answer questions so I no longer expect or request them. Have you got a number for all of the supporters walking away because of this seat change? Of those, do you know how many are doing it solely because of being relocated, or is it just a straw too many? I remember you telling Charlie1 about your sound survey over the last 10yrs (I think that was about it), did you ever manage to enlighten us all as to the results? is it what you are basing your judgments on? Do you really think that (quarantine - is it, really?) is the main driver in all of this? Doesn't it ignore all of the much earlier board comment and subsequent remarks of Adam Pearson and, then much later, Nick Thompson, that were made before the name-change stand-off became an issue and everyone loved AA? I agree with this bit, but it is, in my opinion, a result of a number of issues, not just this one, unless previous protestations about the weight of opinion over the name-change were over-estimated.
If the aim was divide and conquer, there seems to be some on here determined to help. Oddly, it doesn't seem to be replicated to the same degree on other City forums.
I think it's 3 birds with one stone. -Get all vocal anti name change brigade in the naughty corner -Be seen to try and improve atmosphere (but not succeed) - Try and persuade doubters that the club DOES listen (but messes up the detail)
No, apart from adding "I mentioned moving supporters out of spite a couple of months ago". I presume one of those the club talked to about moving E1 and E3 to the North Stand was either yourself or Bernard Noble, or both.
The fear of blame is one of the issues that stunts debate and limits the chances of making best of a poor situation. It's far more constructive to try to understand how and why things came about and accept them for what thy are, as that leaves a clearer opportunity for compromise and progress.
I think you needed some commas in there Chazz. It can read a few different ways without proper punctuation. Ta.
The thing is, association/league rules abiding, he can do as he wants. It's his club, as much as anyone hates to admit it, but he bought it with his companies money. He could even break the FA/PL rules if he didn't mind getting kicked out of the league system if he really wanted. He could sell everything off, leave the league and turn Hull City AFC into a pawnbrokers called Hull Tigers if he so wished.
Can you expand on this dutch?? I'm not sure if im reading it right. Are you saying some reps pushed their own agenda too far at the Flag meetings and NT stopped the meeetings??
I've asked the original CTWD committee if anyone knows who was at the second meeting, I'll let you know if I get anywhere.
That's what I heard. I heard NT subtly dropped in the moving fans as a test of character for the reps at the meetings. No one kicked up a fuss on behalf of a couple of people who like their seats so he knew they were there representing solely themselves and their own beliefs rather than those of a wider group, therefore he pulled the meetings.
