was krueger away when Les made his announcement prior to pochettino's press conference?

I think you're right that Les is doing the day to day work (he is after all an executive director), and RK is simply in a role overseeing the group activities and to a certain extent a front man for the commercial side and to let Les get on with his job quietly.

Whether Les is consciously snubbing the players or is just struggling to cope, I don't know.

I can only imagine he was made CEO as a safe pair of hands on the purse strings. The guy is invisible and always has been.

Not sure if i'd appoint a solicitor to look after the money.

I take it this is based on his notorious observation about our financial situation.

Maybe, I don't know enough about him.

    His job is CFO so...

Lawyers generally study accountancy to some level don't they?

    CFO? that's new to me.

Rodgers was CFO, I wasn't aware his duties had been taken over by anyone.

Hofstetter is apparently Chairman of the Board at exceet Card Group AG. That's the only title I've found for him.

I think accountants do some company law, no idea if lawyers do any accountancy.

I might be wrong but I was under the impression Hofstetter took the CFO position when Rogers was moved to CEO. His pronouncement on the club's finances would indicate that too.

I was tempted to say that as Chairman of a company turning over the high tens of millions, he probably has a grasp of company accounts in general terms and was speaking in that context.

Then I thought about Ralph Krueger.

Gareth Rogers moved from CFO to CEO after filling the role temporarily. We are in the process of appointing a new CFO.

I am so applying. I have like 5 months experience in finance and about five years experience discussing football online with intellectuals and experts of the field.

Better spend big before the bean counter comes in then ;)

All good, though worth bearing in mind that three weeks ago he said Pochettino is definitely staying...
