This is the Review for G.I.Joe Retaliation.

Story:- The movie continues from where it left off, Zartan who disguised himself as the president and replaced him sends Storm Shadow dressed as Snake Eyes and kills the Prime Minister of Pakistan, USA and the world see the there is instability and chaos in Pakistan and the nuke arsenal of Pakistan is now very much unsafe and may fall into the wrong hands, when it comes to the decision whether USA should interfere with the situation of Pakistan or not, Zartan who is now the president of USA orders the G.I.Joe unit to go ahead and carry out operations to secure the nukes, the ops go well and the weapons are secure but then Zartan reveals to the world that the G.I.Joe unit has gone rouge and USA can no longer depend on them, also that an member of the unit Snake Eyes was responsible for the assassination of the Pakistani Prime Minister. Zartan(President) Orders a strike on the G.I.Joe unit, facilities and personal and destroys almost everything and everyone, in such a strike Duke the leader of the Joes dies leaving behind RoadBlock, Lady Jaye, and Flint, there are only a handful of joes left, once the G.I.Joe’s are taken care of zartan sends storm shadow in the super secure prison where Cobra Commander and Destro are imprisoned, storm shadow goes there dressed as Snake Eyes and rescues Cobra Commander, for more help Firefly attacks the prison at the same time from outside, but after being rescued Cobra Commander leaves behind Destro, as Cobra commander and Storm shadow were leaving the because of a explosion storm shadow gets injured badly, cobra commander sends Storm shadow to a mountain monastery so that he can recover and trained well for the future missions of Cobra Unit, The remaining G.I.Joe unit takes help from Bruce Wills(General Joe Colton) the founder of the G.I.Joe , Snake eyes recruit jinx who is another female ninja character, snake eyes and jinx are ordered to being storm shadow back to Arashikage monastery so that justice could be served as everyone thinks that storm shadow killed the hard master, but when snake eyes and jinx capture him and bring him back it comes out that zartan has killed the hard master not storm shadow, and that storm shadow joined cobra so that he could kill zartan, so storm shadow agrees to help G.I.Joe, now RoadBlock, Flint, Lady Jaye, Jinx, Snake eyes and Storm Shadow, along with Bruce Wills go to stop Cobra Commander zartan and Firefly as they plan to destroy 6 capital cities of 6 nations with a new prototype space based weapon that is a satellite based weapon system. The G.I.Joes win zartan gets killed by storm shadow, firefly gets killed by road block, and the crisis gets over, in the end G.I.joes are honorably Reinitiated back in the USA Special Forces, but cobra commander escapes and lives to fight another day.

Action Scenes:- The movie has lots of action scenes, snake and jinx mountain fight scene, snake eyes Vs Storm shadow monastery, Storm Shadow prison fight scene, FireFly vs. Roadblock 2 fight scenes first when RoadBlock fails to kill zartan who is disguised as the President and once the final fight scene, there is a fight scene where Storm shadow and Snake eyes fight together against cobra forces, its taken from the animated shows of G.I.Joe. Another fight scene is Jinx Vs Snake Eyes Jinx initiation scene,
All the fight scenes are well choreographed and looks cool, although they don’t last long they are all a minute to 2 minute fight scenes, but they distributed nicely, the movie don’t really goes on and drag long without a fight scene the middle. In the final fight scene between firefly and Roadblock you will see them doing Hand to Hand Gun Karta, with 2 pistols, although its not the advance version with MMA styles,

This movie is better than the first one, everything looks cool, Cobra Commander looks really cool his voice texture is good, he looks and sounds like a super villain , and although you wont see him much in the movie but whenever he comes around you are gonna look only at him, his costume looks cool all black military style suit with a complete face cover head unit. All the other characters look cool too the costumes of all the characters are nice, storm shadow puts on his suit over his bare body that looks nice fashionably.
The movie goes with a decent speed and not much time has been wasted with useless scenes, or showing too much emotional content, and the flow stays good in the first and the second half of the movie, the direction of this movie looks decent, the scene when London city gets destroyed by the Zeus weapon which is a space satellite based weapon system looks really nice,

But not everything in this movie is great, the first thing that looks really odd is that the character of Flint is projected as a pessimist, he always say something that sounds pessimist. Both the female characters in the movie completely fail to leave even the slightest impact, why cobra commander leaves destro behind who helped him in the initial stage when cobra unit needed weapons and all is not at all cleared in this movie, also why Storm shadow waited this long to kill zartan when he and zartan worked together for all this time too looks like a stupid thing, also that the Cobra Side did not have many characters there were only 3 of them Zartan, Cobra Commander and Firefly, also storm shadow but as he turns against them he cannot be really be counted a cobra unit,

The Zeus Weapon System:
It works on the principle of Kinetic bombardment, the concept is that if a object with heavy mass gains great kinetic energy when it hit’s the surface of a planet that it creates high damage, imagine this as a meteor hitting the city it’s the same thing, in the movie the Satellites just drops a huge bullet shaped projectile made with solid titanium, when it drops down the gravity of earth pulled it so hard that it gained more speed than a bullet actually 8 times the speed of bullet. It creates a tidal wave affect on the land and destroys the whole city but there is no radiation as in nukes.
FireFly Weapons System:
In the movie the character named FireFly uses small drones which is an technological imitation of an Firefly, they fly in groups and when they reach their intended target area they explode, they are based on nano tech and extremely effective to create either distraction or mass damage. Coz they are small and silent they are hard to detect and almost impossible to stop.


It don’t not really matter if you are a G.I.joe fan or not you will still enjoy this movie, The Rock and Bruce wills do their part well, Both snake eyes and Storm shadow do their part well. This is one movie you can watch more than once for the action and probably you will like it even though you have seen it, I will give it 6.4/10
