I read this in an article yesterday, but the article wasn't very clear. Not only did it say that we only paid £13m up front, but we'd only have to receive 13m to get all of our expenditure back. I presume this means that so far, we're no where near paying the full £26m for him, and that it is just £13m? If it is just a case of selling for £13m to get our money back, it was clever business from Levy in the event that Soldado was a flop. - which so far he's pretty much been.
So Roo, are you telling me Soldado has been avoiding the back of the net because he wants to return to Spain. Levy and him struck a deal so to make it easy for both parties (easier to find a buying club for 13 million), plus it didn't help Sherwood.

We've been linked with Ever Banega once again, and any deal sounds like the kind that Levy would like: he's in the last year of his contract with Valencia, and he didn't make the cut for Argentina's WC squad, so his value is estimated at £5.5m Considering he was linked to us under Harry, AVB and now Poch, something tells me that maybe Levy is ever so subtly hinting that he'd be a good addition to the side...although Levy will presumably not allow him to drive anywhere, considering he managed to miss half a season by running himself over at a petrol station a couple of years ago.
If we did sign Banega, what would our midfield look like? Sandro and Benega sitting deep behind Eriksen and two of Lennon/Townsend/Lamela/Chadli?
You both left out Khumalo. Heard Poch fancied moving him into midfield and building the team around him. He'll be like a new signing!
