I always had a feeling that if Lallana didn't play for Saints my opinion of him would be different. It didn't help when he grew that silly beard.

I appreciate this has been posted already a good few pages back but I think it's worth another reminder of Lallana's words on signing his new contract just over a year ago ...

Poor show from the club captain. All we can ask is that the board don't get bullied by agents and bigger clubs. So far the evidence suggests they won't be.

I wouldn't say it was a pointless thread at all.

 

The manager wanted to go way before last week. He also paid the 2m release clause. The board offered him a contract and did everything they could. I don't call that getting bullied.
