No to Lallana. At £15m yes, but not at £30m. Moreno, not seen him but heard good things and is young. Is an area we are weak in wih only 1 recognised LB who has spent a lot of time injured. Lovren has been very good, £15m seems a lot though. Would rather than was closer to £10m. Shaq - yup, would be happy with him for £15m Again not seen much of Can but £10m seems decent value for someone with a lot of potential. Is he solid defensively though? Not sure... Overall, would take all of them for the price quoted but not Lallana. Use that £25m to buy another box-box midfielder instead.
Busquets and Pirlo have the runners ahead of them but they ultimately sit the deepest alone. I don't think we need a double pivot but we do need two energetic, powerful runners who can support the attack and defence. Allen and Henderson can definitely do this but I feel we need that extra quality in that area - someone like Bender would be an upgrade. But with the likes of Martinez and Bender, they can play in a lot of positions.
I don't think I'd be happy with that layout on those players. Also, it would be £81m including Lambert #pendantic
I know what you mean, and I'd be the first to say we need some big players and not the likes of Lallana and Lovren. But if you disregard the price for one moment, these players do address some problems: Lovren can bring leadership to the defence and be a calming influence to the young Sakho (I would prefer Hummels). Lallana is hard working and can score goals from midfield (I want Shaqiri, Firmino, Sanchez etc). Moreno will address the massive problem at left back (Ricardo Rodriguez for me). Emre Can can play as a DM or box to box which allows Gerrard to be rotated.
Heard a lot about him. Apparently a big strong right back / centre back. Similar to Richards when he first burst onto the scene.
Nobody, just pointing out I was agreeing with your comments regarding the players mentioned in the article. I know precisely zero about Firmino and I don't think we could get Hummels.
Firmino is a non starter I would love Fernando and have been wishing for him since last summer, but he's pretty much on his way to City now. He'll be one of the buys of the season if he moves for the reported 12mill (after Lambert, obviously).
