This summer was always going to be a turbulent time for them.
Pochettino going will probably be the s**t smeared on the salt already in the likely wound.

Ricky Lambert to Liverpool according to SSN.

I don't think any England manager should allow players to be negotiating moves when they're supposed to be preparing for a World Cup. Any time outside of training should be spent relaxing and recuperating, not on the phone to their agent.

Another Andy Carroll? Or will he actually add something to them? Mixes it up a bit for Liverpool but they weren't exactly short on goals last season. Suppose he will be happy playing second fiddle for a team in the Champions League. Probably last chance for a nice big pay packet as well for him at 32.......

The saints squads is being taken apart but for them to remain positive they also need to forget about their unrealistic ambitions as they where banking on MoPo (as they called him) to lead them higher then the top 8, but they where never going to finish above any of the current top 7 teams (this or next season), even with their stars staying and pretty much any team from 8th-20th can finish anywhere if they have a good (or bad) season.

Next year saints can still finish top 8, and in many ways by losing all these stars they can still match the same realistic finish (of top 8), just depends on who they bring in as manager, although they will face competition from Crystal Palace for top 8 regardless of who they sign.

Spur, do you think that strengthens or weakens them?

I would have thought that even Mad Dog could see the benefits of keeping one of England's greatest footballers as part of its coaching staff?

Comedian Simon Brodkin infiltrated England's World Cup squad by dressing in their official attire as they prepared to fly off from Luton Airport.
