Forget the political party you belong to (or maybe don't) but if you the had the power and ability to change just one thing in the world, what would it be ?
For bringing the game into disrupt I would make Bristol Rovers start at the bottom of the non league pyramid and start again. Stroud League Division 7 would be a good start....
If I had the power and ability to change 1 thing in the world.... To cure every illness (would that count as 1 thing or loads)
Ban all religions because if you take a serious look at history, and today, then you will notice that it is behind most conflicts throughout the world. It is not specifically religion on it's own but more because of one religions refusal to accept that people have the right to believe, or in my case not to believe, in some other form of belief. I might have opened up a can of worms here but just take time, as I do most days, and look behind the news coming from all parts of the world.
I think Banksy was hinting at the possibility of severe over population in the world due to no1 dying until old age it could lead to world wide famines
I would chuck out the human rights bollocks. We can then bring back capital punishment, not because I like killing people but because it puts fear back into society. Sure you will still have some nutters, but if it saves one child from the hands of a peado and one rape victim then it's a good thing. Also caning in school. You gets kids skiving school to be punished by being suspended, what's that all about? It's like nicking a Mars bar but given a box full as a punishment.
You would think..! The worlds population has increased from around 1 billion just 100 years ago to approaching 8 billion now. No illnesses would increase the worlds population beyond manageable levels in a relatively short period and millions would starve from finite resources and the wars created by the desperation and unrest. Your intentions are gallant but the consequences could be catastrophic..
the question was the if I had the power and ability to do one thing. Means I could do ANY 1 thing I would like. Didn't think of it like that Banksy, We would be alright in our lifetime though. So I would just let the grandchildren worry about overpopulation whilst I sit back knowing no illness can kill me!
You would honestly be surprised how quickly this would affect us all. 1 billion in China with no illness and 1 billion in india with no illness in already over populated situations. plus not enough young people to supply the funds to support the (now healthy) elderly population. A global nightmare..
I would upgrade the UK's infrastructure to build 5,000,000 new homes, multiple HS train lines, new larger motorways and several large hub airports.
ROD's message about removing human rights is a bit over the top but not far off in my mind, because if you look at what's been going on in the U.K. you might spot how people hide behind their supposed human rights to get their own way (if you get my drift). Human rights are a freedom we have in our society but when it is misused to further a bad agenda it makes you wonder how far the "European Human Rights Court" will take the issue, but I have started to see cracks appearing in peoples opinions based on the latest Euro skepticism. Keep it up folks and grab back your country before it's too late.
Last one is ok, but aside from losing a lot of the countryside in an already overpopulated island, it would bring a lot of extra congestion The motorway one is good in theory but as proved by adding extra lanes to the M25, you just get wider but shorter traffic jams with 4 lanes than you do with 3. And in terms of the 'cure all illnesses' idea, which is great in theory but as Banksy has pointed out, would lead to severe overcrowding, what about the tens of millions of jobs that would be lost world wide for people who work in health.
i would make this happen everywhere http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qlTA3rnpgzU ps, the clip at times is a bit annoying but give it a chance and listen to how it works and what benefits it would bring around the world.
