hmmmmm, love your enthusiasm daimungeezer but was slightly worried by our defensive failties in this game though we improved as the game went on. We'll put it down to no-one wanting to get injured maybe?? Will be a massive achievement to get out of the group in Brazil but don't forget in 2006 and 2010 we were tipped by everyone to finish bottom and went through both times, let's hope history repeats itself. Back on topic though (apologies for that), I'm in the JDG to stay camp. Wonder if he'll start against Wales?
Oops, sorry about that, should've checked all posts before posting the question. Some fairly impressive praise from Van Gaal though, hopefully JDG can get to 100% fitness in time for the World Cup. Only the small matter of a game against Spain to ease into the tournament with!!!
Yes Kwame I spotted that. It seems a few of our fans are at odds with one of the world's top managers in assessing players.
Ya , Holland 's been assessing players a long time without winning anything--lol-- I'll be happy as hell to see De Guzman and Holland playing well and winning it all , but I wouldn't put any money on either this summer but will cheer them vigorously.
He might have a hamstring problem, so won't face Wales. But is going to Rio, where the injury will be assessed.
De Guzman is out for the match of tomorrow, confirmed by the FA. Will be replaced by Leroy Fer according to Dutch news agencies.
Yes I thought that. Of course he's Canadian but of Filipino parentage I think at least on one side. He's 'Dutch' through residency i believe. Stupid rule but there you go.
