Hopefully this gives us enough time to tap up Lallana and I may start to stop being harsh on Pochettino if he can also bring Lallana, Shaw and Lovren as well.
None of those 3 will go to Tottenham, I'm sure of it. Plus that would mean Spurs having to spend over £65 million to get all 3. Don't you guys have a relatively low transfer budget this year compared to last year?
Unfortunately for you the best place to tap lallana and Shaw up atm is from within the England camp and Spurs don't have anyone there. Problem for us is if Gerrard, the other LFC players and now Rickie start tapping them up, we may not have any in their as well.
Pretty much, thats why we went for Pochettino as Levy wanted a manager who could work with the squad in place but its difficult to predict if Levy would spend further as he has backed managers in the past, from Redknapp to Ramos but usually calms down after a spending spree so to make sure the low net spend evens out and overall we spend very little, Our net spend is one of the lowest in the premier league (all time). ...But I'm just jesting, I mean we have signed players of a higher calibre then all three, but right now it seems Lallana is set on LIverpool. Shaw on Utd and Lovren may be happy to wait to see who you bring in as manager.
Cheers for that reminder. Although nowadays playing for England just leads to embarrassment or injuries and we have already embarrassed ourselves with the 100 million spending spree as Tom has kindly pointed out!
Yes, the likes of Lamela and Soldado have shown that undoubted superior quality this season....... (I actually think Poch is the best person to get them playing properly, but you seem to disagree on that point).
Back on topic, I have been critical of the board on here over the last week, however this statement (if they stick to what they have said) is a great response. I really, really hope they mean it and we make some astute signings. Next season could even turn out as exciting as this one with the right investment...
Think Pochettino will do well because both us and Spurs have a good defence and have some flair players. Lambert didn't quite suit the pressing system, so it'll be interesting if MP can get Adebayor to improve his workrate! Pochettino's only problem is that he doesn't have a plan B, so Spurs may struggle to get the important late goals, albeit they have more options.
Jasper, why are we getting relegated with Koeman. Hypothetical mind. You left us hanging on the Ronald thread!
Look guys, I have just had a PM from Jasper, and he is feeling really bad about his earlier outburst. The fact is, he suffers from clinical depression which has put him in a bad place right now. He particularly wanted me to apologise on his behalf to Boss, so if you're still there mate, no hard feelings please?
