What an intelligent and well rounded message, i admire you sir, finally somebody gets what im trying to say and shares an open minded outlook. Your theory on dreams is different to mine but you could well be right, im open to all possibilities.

I especially liked your comment about what we percieve actually being an illusion, this is true, at the quantum level the universe is comprised basically of nothingness, yet we can feel the desk we are sat at, or the chair we are sitting on, we can see the screen. Its quite mind boggling really but i think quantum physics is of great interest, the double slit experiment suggests that measurement can change reality.

I think multiple layers of existance and infinite existance thing actually has alot of merit, i believe that our true self actually goes on forever and i also believe that everything is interconnected. If the big bang theory is true and the universe came from a singularity that means everything has ever existed will exist and exists currently came from the same singularity, we all come from the same source, so its not a stretch to suggest the whole universe is connected.

To be person moaning about me getting up at 12, i work nights at the moment and does it matter anyway?

skalpel you seem to have backtracked quite alot haha, moreover my point still stands, i never said DMT was proof of anything, i said it was evidence which could be used in conjunction with other exmaples to explain my theory...i like how you fabricated my message to validate your own prejudices and ignorance.

I never said DMT is proof of spirituality (go back and read my messages for gods sake) but it ceratinly raises some questions and we should be open to all possibilities in a universe that is infinite in its nature.

I haven't backtracked at all, one of my first comments to you was that it was a philosophers debate (go back and read mine for god's sake? <whistle>), and this guy's post was a good read. We've most likely had crossed wires; since I was questioning any proof for this: "My take is that dreams are another realm that we enter to recharge our true multidimensional and spiritual nature." and your response was that I was ignoring your DMT study evidence. How about accepting that there's been a misunderstanding somewhere along the road instead of claiming I need to 'validate my own prejudices and ignorance'?

I think dreams are often a way of discharging worrying thoughts in a relatively harmless way. For example, I once dreamt that Sunderland had won the league (it was during the monkey's heed era when this wasn't entirely out of the question). Everything was dark and everyone depressed. What a relief when I woke up!

I think the first line of this guys wiki page is something you should read before you get ahead of yourself.

Strassman's extremely controversial and unsupported studies...

Well, I have a decent knowledge of neurochemistry and pharmacodynamics(for someone whos academic skills lie elsewhere). I would also never on a public forum ever suggest that I had personally bio-assayed said substance and several of its analogues and semi-metabolites, and I also would not have done the same with the main other substance of note from his studies, psylocibine/psilocin. And I cannot because of that tell you that I have major doubts about the interpretation bias that lies upon the user of said substances.

P.S You do know who Joe Rogan is right?

I would have huge reservations about deciding my life principles and philosophies on what that guy has to say. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Rogan

Also completely open to it, but as a scientist my personal opinion leans towards the more classical, less exciting explanations.

If you're going to quote anyone about tryptamines or even if you move onto talking about phenethylamines you should at least quote the only real esteemed expert on the matter, Dr Alexanda "Sasha" Shulgin.

It's agreed then, neither of us give a **** what the other one writes, yes?

It makes me wonder why you bothered in the first place or quite why you bothered writing a goading message on my page? <laugh> ... you hopeless WUM - let's hope that you get banned sooner rather than later if you care so little for this site...<cheers>
