Wenger would never pay 30 million for a 27 year old, it goes against all his principles. They are also stacked with top players in the middle of midfield. So they're better off spending money in other areas where they need strengthening, like at right back and up front

They could mean Lallana , Lovern or even a Chelsea bid for Shaw. Personally I think we have bid and that it will go through but you never know.

Yeah, I would definitely take him for United, I think he's a really good player who looks more than capable of stepping up a notch. And before anyone jumps on this, we ARE ordinarily a notch above Saints!

Lallana would improve our squad and probably the first team. However, I'd rather we didn't pay 30m for someone who might slightly improve our first team. I'd take Cesc for £30m over Lallana for £30m every day of the week.
Well yes, different position though. The other wide attacking mid that's been mentioned is Reus, who would be more of a direct comparison. Say they are both available (unlikely) then you'd more than likely go for Reus. On the subject of Fabregas, I don't think he answers our problems. We really (really) need a bit of a centre mid enforcer if possible. It's stating the obvious. Fabregas alongside that person, fine. Not as the be all primary target though.
The only logical destination for cesc is united. Hes spent 3 years out of position at barcelona and will want to join a club that will appreciate him, play him in midfield and where hes not one if 90 midfielders. Oh and hes never even considered chelsea. Who comes up with this ****? Everything a catalan could despise is everything chelsea represent.
