Seems as though talks are at an advanced stage with Bristol city.

Could of been the back up plan to Danns not signing.

On the positive side could this mean Danns IS signing for us?

I'd suspect neither will be signing.. I don't think Kilkenny is a great loss & I don't think Danns is within our wage structure (agheerm..) or should I say revised wage structure..

If we loan Jimmy to the dramas for a year then why not utilise Olofinjana in MF, we don't have any issues with him..

because hes lethargic, too inconsistent, needs a bonfire underneath him for him to run lol

For his wage he needs moving on

I don't think the club has ever been interested in Kilkenny.
The only thing that's been in the media has been Agent's talk about how Kilkenny would love to play for Hull City.

if its true, and we are interested in kilkenny and he's opted to sign for bristol city.... could it get any worse this transfer window ? i mean this guy was our 4th or 5th choice for a central midfielder....

before anyone says "we've made 2 sigings already,, early days yet" yes we've signed 2 kids from man-u reserves on low wages because no other clubs we're willing to sign them and they want 1st team football at their age. but when it comes to signing anoyone who's used to 1st team football... we cant attract anyone but 33+ year old players who are looking for 1 last pay day. thats the reality here.

This is a catch 22 situation that I think is holding up the transfer plans at the moment. Nigel Pearson has been on record saying he wanted deals done early, but I can't see Olofinjana or Bullard moving on until near the deadline at best. Then we'd be left with no time to make signings ourselves.

But if they don't move on, will we use them? Olofinjana's got his faults and he's inconsistent, but he does get goals from midfield (which we need) and gives us some height (which we need).

Agree on this one. Think its more our decision than his that he won't be coming to city

Bullard and Olfinjana are both better than anything we've got in out midfield at the moment. Though it looks like Bullard will be going, there's no reason not to keep/play Oli if we can't get any of our transfer targets.

Yes, I'm sure you have insider information for our line-up 6 weeks before kick off.

    A possibility is:

    Forster
    Rosenior Chester Hobbs Dudgeon
    McKenna Olofinjana Evans Koren
    Simpson Fryatt

Bench: Oxley, Cooper, Harper, Devitt, Barmby, McLean, Adebola

Although I hope we'll have made more signings by then.

What a complete and utter load of bollocks.

Firstly, we were never in for Kilkenny, AP has already said our interest in him was all in his agents head.

Secondly, we haven't made two signings, we made four, which will almost certainly become five when the Hobbs deal gets finalised(and Evans and Dudgeon are not **** players that no-one else wanted, they're quality signings).

'could it get any worse this transfer window?' jesus ****ing wept <doh>

Kilkenny would not be a good signing. We have signed some quality young players and an experienced big centre forward. Not bad so far.

I've no idea if the new signings will be any good, but I'm really looking forward to the new season. It makes a change to get cast offs from Man Utd rather than scottish clubs (only a few years back).

I'm flattered, even if it is the opinion of someone who's not all that bright. <ok>
