Yes but our wage budget isnt 200% of our real income.

Is our wages to revenue ratio still better than yours?

And is suarez in 200k? Something close?

  2. Fair enough. However, paying Sterling £100k per week is no worse than you guys giving Rooney what, £80k per week when you signed him ten years ago?

C'mon.... Context context context.... The number 50k has context

2004 is exactly ten years ago, the reputed top earner was Roy Keane at 100k also paid by your lot, Rooney was on 50k at age 18

Simple maths might say 50k was 50% of the very highest wages on offer and so doing the maths 300k x 50% is 150k

So once again why not admit you came on to laugh at lfc you are still carrying on trying the same vein.... Based on a hearsay story......

100k for sterling at 19? I've hear YOU justify rooneys stupid wages as the means to hang on til this summer for a mythical huge bid. If lfc pay the boy 100k the ONLY justifiable winning on it will be him ranking his career right after

And finally you lot gave janusaj a contact worth 30k per week just like we gave mr sterling at 18 so if that boy plays as well as you lot repute he'll have to be adjust to 100k too as everyone at utd will due to rooneys earnings

In the mad world of football wages, rooneys 250k (it helps if you use the correct figure) isnt as bad as 100k for someone who has done nothing in the game.

Try looking at it as a business because thats exactly what it is. Rooneys name earns united millions. Sterlings earns you nothing as hes a nobody.

300k for rooney is a lot less to us that 100k for sterling.

hahaha, coming from the 'man' who spends half his time on this forum moaning about 'rivals' contributions, posting back handed snide digs (as here yet again) and constantly bleating to the mods, that's hilarious. You can't take 'banter' at all, never have been able to.

so Rooneys only value to utd is his commercial side?

Sterlings is based on what he does on the pitch, as he contributes a lot to our attack i would say 100k is cheap really, esp given his age and chances of improvement.

Rooney wont get better will he? while you can use the commercial side of things to justify his wages, how much longer will that be acceptable if you have a player on 250k a week who cant get you in the top4?

also you say rooneys 300k a week to you lot is a lot less than sterlings 100k, but then you run the risk of other players you want to sign expecting the same sort of wages.

Are you sure you actually know the meaning of the word, Tobes?
Here's a helpful dictionary definition for those who are struggling:
Now I'd love to know where the "playful and friendly" bits come in to half the stuff that gets called "banter" on here.

Who brings more to their side? Rooney by an absolute mile.

Rooneys footballing and commercial value is far far higher than sterling.

To be honest anyone who thinks rooneys wage justifies oaying a kid 100k is an idiot.

you lot ****ing deserve every **** going there to rinse you for what its worth with bollocks logic like that.

ffs age dif!! lame! history as well lol who would have guessed.

i will try again!!!! how much longer will you try and justify rooneys wages if he cant get you top4?

you are taking the piss out a youngster on 100k a week, but that's justified by him helping us get European football and finishing runners up ie 2nd. Rooneys has helped you get 7th.

Don't get upset Jenners. I'll give you a e-cuddle if you want ?

Personally, I couldn't give a **** what any footballer is paid. They are paid with regards to their worth to their club. Simple.

United believe Rooney is worth his wages for footballing and non footballing reasons and I agree with them.

Liverpool obviously believe Sterling is worth £100k a week to them and in the long term they are probably right.

    Who cares <ok>

    This <ok>

Our owners have spent a few years ****ing players off who earn too much and don't warrant it so if they feel Sterling is worth 100k a week then i'll trust them.
