If Mex is going to make a plug, here is the website for the gites owned by my ex-father-in-law: http://jonzacgites.com/wordp/
I don't remember the names of the camping areas; main memory was one boy went sleepwalking and there was a panic amongst teachers finding him. Oh and outside cold showers where our assets became even smaller than they were at that age
Finally booked our summer jolidays - off to Mexico in late July for a couple of weeks. Leaving the day after Mrs W_Y's graduation ceremony, so a bottle of bubbly on the plan will be called for.
Did Lees Wood and Cuffley m'self. Happy days! Also various other camps with St.John! Anyway, greetings all from Noo Yoik, as it's pronounced here!
No - but I was lucky enough to spend a week on an Environmental Camp on a Great Barrier Reef island. Brilliant time....
When I was a Scout, the 2 summer camps I went on were at Hathersage in Derbyshire (I think in a farmers field) and on the Isle of Wight. Although jerzeypie going to the World Scout Jamboree in Sweden 3 years ago certainly tops that. They certainly went the long way round to get there, via Luxembourg and Denmark. At the opening, King Gustav was in attendance, and at the closing either Europe or Berlin played, can't remember which. Apparently, there was also an international incident due to the Americans waking their group with Reveille then singing their national anthem before any of the groups near them had woken up.
As my son will be studying in south Korea for a year I will be heading there for a visit, probably around Christmas time. So looking forward to it! W_Y, I've done a couple of cruises and can highly recommend them!
Hi guys, anyone been to Hammamet in Tunisia? I'm going there in mid-November and wondered if anyone can recommend things I can do/see there.
