Sorry but there's no need for any of that. If you've got the nerve to be on here talking rubbish, then expect Liverpool fans to have the nerve to respond to it. I'm tired of rivals telling us to leave the site - whilst on the LFC board - had we been on the rival board, fair enough, but stop with the telling fans of the board you're visiting what to do.

Being told while we are on our own board to leave the site sort of gets on your nerves after a while. You're not the first rival fan to do it and frankly there's no need to say it. It's arrogant, cheap and low. I have no problem with you, we've never argued and I've even stuck up for you on occasions. Unlike other resident rivals, you aren't abusive. Us LFC fans on this site can all give and take as much banter as you throw at us but telling a poster on his own board to leave the site is unnecessary.

Rooney is paid for what hes done. Thats how it should be.

Players who have won nothing, achieved nothing and earned nothing dont deserve big money.

Rooneys won every club trophy worth winning and been at unitee 10 years. Sterlings win nothing and been at liverpool 2 years.

It also helps if you get rooneys wage right.

Just think. Not even 20 and talk of 100k. What about in 3 years when he wants more? He will be on far more than rooney was ever on down the line if you give him 100k now. Others will want parity. I doubt sturridge is on more than 100k. He will want to be. Henderson too.

And that entitles him to 300k per week, winning in concert with a lot of other fine players

Sorry but the truth is he held your club to ransom, instead of making a big deal over paper talk on sterling why not explain your club giving him that much and blowing your wage structure????

The truth is I didn't bother join this earlier but every comment uir made were there to see, every one was laugh at lfc but he dressed it up in reasonableness when called childish.... Seeing what 12 hours later I see the same muck I think anyone reasonable knows the score here

Sterling could arguably become better than Rooney. Doubt he would get on as much money though.

Ignoring the entire thing as a lfc are crap attack as per

Rooney back in the day (as in 3/4 years ago) was a real top player and honestly when Ronaldo left he was the main man and played a huge part in utd thereafter when he was signed for the big money so young he justified it

But his first big contract equalling yaya on 200k+ Was too much for the level he was at at 300k for a player who gets 15 goals and blows hot and cold (and when hot is very hot)

If sterling is getting a contract I am willing to bet as an experienced lfc fan not a wum is that we will pay him well but any 100k will be as an increment agreement over the course of the deal to be earned by performance.... And as for throwing out sturridge and hendersond name.... Like uir would have a clue what motivates them!!!!

It's far more likely that RvP will want parity than Henderson and honestly sturridge is a complete mystery to everyone... His motivations are as complex as they are many so as long as we play him where he feels he wants to be and like yaya we lick his hole sterling nor Suarez contracts will bother him

Manchester United are racing against the clock to sign Luke Shaw, heartened that the Southampton full-back has made them his No1 choice but conscious that once England leave their World Cup training camp in the US on Sunday week there will be little chance of buying him until after the tournament.

Southampton’s state of flux, with the team managerless, is proving a sizeable obstacle to United pushing through the transfer for the 18-year-old. Les Reed, their director of football, is having to deal with the impending sale of Rickie Lambert to Liverpool for £4.5m while also determining the futures of a number of others including Adam Lallana, Jay Rodriguez and Dejan Lovren.

Having considered his options over the past week, Shaw is intent on signing for United, though with the deal in the balance there is no guarantee that Old Trafford is where he will start next season. The left-back has accepted the possibility that his future may not be determined until after the World Cup. England fly to their Miami camp following Friday evening’s first warm-up game, the meeting with Peru at Wembley.

Their camp in Florida ends on Saturday week, after the friendly against Honduras. Any deal for Shaw could still be sealed before then though there is recognition on all sides that the preference for players is to focus solely on the competition.

Southampton value Shaw at £30m while United have made a bid of £27m, offering him around £100,000 a week. Chelsea are resistant to meeting the £30m price and, it is understood, would propose paying the defender a weekly wage in the region of £60,000.

That's far too logical, he'll never spot the obvious flaw in his arguement

I suspect he peaked on quite a good wage. On that wouldn't be too far off rooneys 250k these days. I reckon as he began to wind down he took reduced pay packets.

I also thing from a purely business point of view, rooney was worth more than giggs. That would obviously have a factor in his salary.

I reckon david beckham got more than giggs while at united too for a similar reason.

  17. Were Beckham or Giggs on a vastly superior wage to their rivals best players like Rooney is...?

Not really sure. Twitter didnt exist so there wasnt ten million different stories about 5milliin different players.

I remember some hysteria about keane getting 50k. Wasnt sol campbell the first 100k player?

I dont think hes on vastly superior wages tbh. Yaya is on close too and could well end up on more. Dont Liverpool pay suarez about 200k? Considering rooney is on 250k from the club its not a million miles away is it.

Others too probably not to far off.

  20. I knew you would use Man City as a argument. They massively overpaid to encourage players to join a non-CL club. Their wages are not in touch with the rest of the football world bar PSG, Monaco and possibly Chelsea (and Rooney)
