The trouble with player valuations is that they can fluctuate and of course a serious injury could make them suddenly worthless. Are players insured? As that could be the basis of their value. Lallana could be sold for the price Markus paid for the whole club(including Adam)
I agree completely. Which is why an owner looking to sell might well get more money by selling key players individually when their values are high, pocketing the money and then selling the club rather than just selling off the whole thing in one go.
I do think money is one of the motivating factors behind Katharina becoming part of the clubs board. She is now likely to be receiving a salary and dividends from this role for I suspect very little work (not that I begrudge her). After all Cortese got a very significant wage for his work at the club.
No doubt although, as I said earlier in the thread, I don't think she's just looking to use the club to pocket as much money as she can.
I think we are lower than £250-300m as we can't equate TV revenue on 1:1 basis linked to valuation as it needs to service the overheads and isn't profit. The company I work for has an order book and revenue in multiple billions but profit is much lower, I don't expect it to have a valuation as high as it's revenue or order book
