If it is true they have rejected our "final" offer, then we need to stand by our guns and walk away. Move onto the next person on that list, be it Pedro, Sanchez, A N Other If Lallana "want's" to move to us, then let him force the move, we've done our bit in showing how much we value him and how much we want him, over to you Adam.
Anything more than 25mill for Lalalalalalalalalalana is ridiculous. End of. S'oton know they've got a talented, marketable player, probably the biggest deal they'll do for a long time as well, so they're just trying to rinse whoever comes along. Time to close the wallet and back slowly away.
I could maybe see Chelsea coming in for him if he has a great world cup for a crazy price. He's a very good player regardless of what Saints want for him and could be a very adept replacement for Lampard as an English core in the Chavski side. But like others have said, time for us to walk away at those figures.
I thought he wanted to play for us though. That's the thing with how money rules the game, he'll end up playing for Chelsea or someone where he's not really that bothered about being there other than the pay check. Can he not put his foot down if wants to be at Anfield so badly and him and his agent demand that they sell to us?
Lambert - £4m Lallana - £25m Moreno - £16m Can - £12m Thats £57m spent potentially, out of the players we have made bids for so far.
The only disappointing thing for me there is none of them are really stand out quality at this point. They seem like good/very good players, nothing incredibly special. I guess it just proves that unless you are going to pay over £30m you aren't going to get anyone with proven quality.
Don't think we will be looking for a right back this summer to be honest, at least it doesn't look that way. We are looking at Lovren so its fair to assume we want a centre back but we haven't been linked with a right back or anything so I'd say its just a case of letting Flanagan & Johnson fight it out for the position.
I don't think Johnson even deserves to fight it out. He's been ****ing awful in the last year. I'd honestly rather have Flanno and Wisdom fight it out for the position. I don't think BR has the balls to drop Johnson, as was proven by having him play the last 5 games of the season even when Cissokho was fit.
Our weakest area is Left back and is by miles. if we were playing a game tomorrow we would not even have a senior left (with Enrique injured). Enriques injury is major. Who knows how long he will need. Look at Kelly. Personally I think RB can be left alone this summer if we strengthen else where. Flanagan has done very well.
so we have another Aurelio on our hands, can't question the quality WHEN fit, but that's the problem. we going to give Enrique the same lenience and time we gave Aurelio, or cut our losses while we can?
We've addressed on weak full back position by signing Moreno. This means we can now switch Flanno over or used Wisdom.
But we won't play Flanagan at RB will we? BR doesn't seem to have the stones to drop that steaming pile of **** GJ.
Am really happy with this for £4m - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ASdiCiqOetc - exceptional penalty taker too
