I don't think it actually says that, I'll email the club and check that there will be an opportunity for members before they go on general sale.

That's a bit of a childish reply. The silver prices aren't too bad but there's an extremely scarce supply of silver tickets, especially taking into account the whole lower loft being used as a family stand. Given the facilities, particularly in Ellerslie, £709 for gold and presumably close to £800 for new ST holders is scandalous, regardless of whether they were £500 or £5000 two years ago.

Hardly a childish response. If you feel they are too expensive, or more than you want to pay, then don't pay it. There'll be more than enough people waiting to pick your ticket up after last weekend. You've just got to make a decision.

When you compare prices to other clubs, you do invite comments though. Sure Palace fans might pay fifty quid less, but wouldn't you rather pay an extra few quid and see QPR each week instead of the Eagles?

Well obviously. The Palace comparison is a valid one because they're a similar club to us in many ways as Fulham are. Saying "go watch Palace then" is pretty ****ing childish.

I won't be paying £700+ but will spend far more going away. Fortunately I can afford it being a single bloke on reasonable money but I feel the club are taking the piss given the product served up over the last three years. As much as we love Loftus Road its facilities, legroom etc. are the worst in the division so to be charging, at a guess, the seventh or eighth highest prices in the league isn't right IMO.

Hold on - aside from not needing to save your cash like most of us on here, you're the one who basically said "it'd be cheaper to go watch Palace" by comparing their ticket prices favourably to ours. All I said was "go on then". If you want to call anything childish, it was your suggestion that a season ticket at Selhurst Park was better value for money for a QPR fan.

Don't make stupid, pointless comparisons if you don't want to invite comment, mate.

Anyway, just watched the final again, and I for one only want to go watch Palace when they are playing us.

Palace isn't a pointless comparison and I never said it would be better value for a QPR fan. Why are they capable of offering essentially the same product for so much less? Charging high prices obviously makes sense from a profit-maximising perspective- the ground is small and Korean tourists will fill it at £100 a ticket if necessary. From the point of view of building a local fan base, rewarding loyalty after three seasons of dross or charging a market rate rather than taking advantage of the nature of football supporters, it stinks.

The club likes to promote this #weRtogether stuff when it suits but on stuff that matters they're still quite arrogant and not understanding of the supporters IMO. A bit of honesty would have helped- something along the lines of "the club is in huge debt and we have a limited number of revenue streams so need to get an extra £1m from season ticket revenue (or 12 weeks of Cesar's wages if you prefer)" would have been a lot more palatable than pretending they're doing the fans some great favour by charging over the odds just because they have done in the past.

Cheers, I just clicked the link and filled in the 'register an interest' bit but that looked like it was the same for everyone, whether you had a membership number or not. Hope I'm wrong, but my memory of how it worked last time I got an ST has faded. Alas.

Please let us know what they say mate. Seems a bit strange that there's no mention of a window for members?

Actually, take inflation into account and you're actually gonna pay less than two years ago in real terms.

That's if you are gonna renew? otherwise it's all academic, mate. See you at Palace...

I got the blandest of replies, so I've gone back to them.

My guess is that they are waiting to see what take up they get from the existing ST holders before deciding, but that doesn't add up to me.

Thanks mate. I seem to remember the last time we went up, I wasn't a ST holder, but I was a member. I can't remember though, whether members had their own window once ST holders had renewed.
I do remember however, going to the ground at around 6am and queuing up to get our Season Tickets. It looks like I'll be doing that again!!

We can't compare our prices to others, its supply and demand. We will sell out every game so it would be mental to have low prices.

I'd expect a big drop with the new stadium though.

    I think that's a reasonable logic.

Expect a sell out for every match, bar perhaps Hull City [Tigers?], Burnley and maybe AFC Sunderland and Stoke City.

I have no doubt if I cannot attend a match, there will be at very least the equivalent face value paid by viagogo [albeit that they will inflate this hugely to their seller].

So as a renewing season ticket holder, or as a prospective new season ticket purchaser, it's less a case of ability to attend, more a case of affordability.

I think that Stoke might just sell out mate!

Who'd want to miss the chance to thank Mark Hughes for everything that he did for our club?

    Indeed!

So, with maybe the exception of three games - all home seats will be higher demand than supply.

A viagogo dream, made in the EPL! <laugh>
