Boxing can be hard to score. 4/5 rounds where incredibly tight, if you appreciated Carl Froch's slightly more aggressive approach than you would have him in front but if you where disregarding that and only judging scoring punches(including jabs) then it was much closer.
I agree to a point. I'd say the deciding factor was who is controlling the fight. Who is controlling the centre of the ring, who is dictating the pace of the fight and who is forcing the other to react. I'd say Froch was doing all of that for most of the fight. It's that measured control that Groves was trying to upset pre-fight as he knew he'd have little answer. The main time Groves tried to change it and dictate, was just before he got sat on his arse. To be fair, Groves gob made the fight because Froch isn't really box office
