He will sort them out IMHO . He WAS at staplewood on Thursday . Perhaps he will turn US down ? FWIW I want him here , he did very well at Everton , the Manu job was a poisn chalice , He is still a very good manager .
Moyes could have a chance of keeping Shaw too, as he wanted to sign him. May be able to convince him to stay. Certainly wouldn't be the worst manager choice.
I would definitely take Moyes and I think he would jump at the chance of managing us. Hardly going to get a job at one of the big clubs.
Also, by all accounts he is a man of some personal integrity. Just don't spill his pint, he doesn't like that.
We were better than them last season, but that doesn't make us a bigger club, in the same way that Atletico are not a bigger club than Real Madrid and Barcelona, and Everton are not a bigger club than Man Utd. Plus having a manager doesn't stop other managers being linked with a job. Just look at Tottenham last season.
I too would be happy with Moyes. Decent manager let down big time by his bigtime charle players, who couldnt cope with new methods.
Good point. No fancy European managers, but one who has a punch up in a pub. Sure we can all relate to that....he and Ralph must have so much in common
I would be OK with Moyes Not over the moon with the "difficult to beat" culture compared with last seasons high press system but think his status would give us security and he has experience of working within a budget
Only a few days ago Moyes was a safe but I didn't think a very forward thinking coach for our playerst. With all the news swirling the club right now he seems the ideal man. We need someone who can rebuild the spin of a team and make us a solid premier league club. Complete the training ground, remove the debts and after a couple of seasons we can think about trying to get Europe.
Moyes wouldn't be my number one choice, but he'd certainly be in my top five. His time at United shouldn't mask the job he did at Everton (albeit Martinez has since shown that said job wasn't done in quite an attractive manner as it could have been).
His odds did shorten dramatically midweek, that could easily be explained if a few people knew he had been here. If Moyes did come though I imagine he would want strong assurances over who was being kept, he can't afford to fail again. The more I think about it, the more I want him here, the football wouldn't be as good to watch, but we are crying out for stability and Moyes could realistically represent that.
I put a good bet on koeman at 4/1 the other day.....but as back up have just had a punt on David Moyes at 10/1 ....
You're going to be disappointed on soooo many levels when Ian Dowie takes the hot-seat from being a 100/1 outsider! We ought to appoint Roy Keane, but just for the summer, if he told you that you were staying, you'd sit down politely in the corner.
Roy Keane is going to Celtic though....shearer wasn't scared of him... And I think Dowie has a new modelling contract.
