Lambert is following his dream and to be honest I don't think he has got more than a year out of him anyway. Lallana is fantastic and it's a miracle we've had him this long! Could be a good call to cash in on Shaw whilst people are willing to pay silly money for him.

We can get new talent in and we have a fantastic youth squad.

I'd rather have a team putting in 100% rather than an unsettled squad forced to stay playing at 70%.

We have to stand firm with most of them. A new manager and a few new players and everyone will settle. They are all charging around the lifeboat...they need to be told to sit down and stop rocking the boat.

Should we all take this advice too? I am being eaten by nervous paranoia.

I'm on beta blockers, so I'm alright. My brain is unable to upset my body. Can you imagine what I'd be like without them <laugh>

    I'm happy for Lambert.
Lallana needs to move on to a bigger club now.
Shaw we can get a lot of money out of. One bad season and he'll be worth 4mill.

We need to be realistic here and realise that Saints are never going to be top 4 material and we all pretty much knew that as soon as Marcus sadly passed away. The club is looking good and we are good to stay in the premier league for a long time. The last time I was this happy with the position, board and financial security was when Strachen was managing!

;) just give the board a bit of time.

Newspaper gossip during the transfer window and fans go mental wanting to sack the board. Players will always be wanted by other teams. The board gave an explanation and still everyone is on at them.

Be patient and see what happens. If they **** it up come August, then we can be angry and mad.

I went to the Doctor the other day and it was quite an experience as the Doctor I have been with for years has just retired and my new Doctor is a very charming woman. However for the first time despite the three separate blood pressure tablets I take daily my blood pressure was through the roof.

She was trying to analyse why that should be so and I told her I was very worried about what was happening at SFC and she laughed out loud.

I told her it wasn't funny and that I had been losing sleep worrying about it all.

I know have a bunch of lavender under my pillow. It doesn't help me sleep but it does smell nice. The deep breathing exercises help too although it was embarrassing on the bus this morning as the young lady sitting in front of me told me I was a dirty old man and she wouldn't believe me when I told her it was just my breathing exercises.

Bogus posters have suddenly appeared just like Lowe's PR gang did when he was messing things up. Very suspicious indeed.

TBH...I don't care. At least it shows an awareness about the state we are all in. Need some positive posts.

Whoever they are they are talking sense. The desired strategy probably combines the two extreme views. If they don't want to be here they should not have signed long term contracts. We should hold them to those contracts unless we get silly money.

£30m for Shaw when we have Matt Targett in the wings is not bad business.
£30m for Lallana is not bad considering we already got 6 good years out of him (but would be sorry and disappointed if he did not want to stay)
Lovren, Morgan and Clyne should be held to contract.

So much depends on new manager!

I bet most of the team just need to know who the manager is and they'll report back as normal. They are unsettled, but I doubt they are seriously looking for a move.

Those who are happy for Shaw to leave for £30M ought to realise that his value will do nothing but rise for a few years. I'd hang onto him until he's at least 23. Which, coincidentally, is how long his contract is. One then gets him to sign a fairly long extension and let's him go to Chelsea for £40M, having got a decent few years out of him first. Or, he may want to stay by then. Depends where we are. Either way, it's actually rather silly to let Shaw go at this time. He was relatively happy, so what's the rush..?

We haven't really heard much about Shaw apart from rumours 'escaping' from United.

I was very impressed by target when he came on for Shaw this season.
